Esports World Cup 2026 Kicks off in Paris with Record-Breaking $75 Million Prize Pool

Paris, July 10, 2026, SPA -- The Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 has gotten underway in the French capital, kicking off seven weeks of competition that bring together leading esports clubs and players from around the world at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles through August 23.

EWC 2026 features 25 tournaments across 24 of the world’s most prominent games, alongside a packed lineup of fan events, entertainment, and interactive experiences. The event offers a blend of competition and cutting-edge entertainment concepts, attracting gaming enthusiasts from around the world.

More than 2,000 players representing over 200 clubs from 100 countries are competing for a record-breaking $75 million prize pool, underscoring the tournament’s expanding international reach and its status as the world’s largest annual esports event.

The tournament’s game lineup ranges from first-person shooters (FPS) and multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) games to strategy, battle royale, fighting, racing, and sports games, alongside Teamfight Tactics (TFT) and chess.

The EWC continues to reinforce its position as the world’s largest esports and gaming event, bringing together the best clubs and players on a single competitive stage to crown the EWC Club Champions.

The event reflects the sector’s rapid growth and continues to write a new chapter in the history of esports.
