Dubai Gears Up for a Spectacular Start to 29th Dubai Summer Surprises with Live Entertainment and Exclusive Retail Discounts

Don't miss the 12-Hour Sale across Majid Al Futtaim Malls, free live music performances at Dubai Hills Mall and City Centre Mirdif and shows at popular attractions across Dubai from 2 to 5 July.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 30 June 2026: The highly anticipated 29th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) gets underway this weekend, and residents and visitors can look forward to an entertaining opening weekend of music performances and retail discounts at selected locations across the emirate.

Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), part of Dubai Economy and Tourism (DET), has unveiled the entertainment and activities lined up from 2 to 5 July to celebrate the opening of its biggest and most dynamic edition yet. The opening weekend celebrations mark the beginning of 60 epic days of DSS, with exceptional savings, endless excitement, and amazing new adventures to discover. 

Included among the celebrations as part of the packed schedule across the four days are:

12-HOUR SALE

Shoppers are invited to take advantage of exclusive retail promotions at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Deira, City Centre Me'aisem, City Centre Al Shindagha and My City Centre Al Barsha. In association with Majid Al Futtaim Malls, from 10 AM to 10 PM on 2 July, shoppers can avail discounts up to 90% at more than 100 participating brands. 

Plus, shoppers at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, and City Centre Deira who spend AED 300 or more at participating outlets will also have the chance to become a 12 Hour Sale SHARE Millionaire.

GOLD & JEWELLERY FLASH SALE WEEKEND

The Gold & Jewellery Flash Sale Weekend debuts this year from 3 to 5 July as part of the Great Dubai Summer Sale and the opening weekend of Dubai Summer Surprises. The new three-day retail event will feature exclusive offers, limited-time savings, and value-added promotions for gold, diamond, pearl, watches, and premium accessories in stores and malls across Dubai. 

Participating brands include Al Futtaim Watches & Jewellery, Alliali Jewellery, Masroor Jewellery, Damas, Jawhara Jewellery, Pandora, The Watch House, Zen Diamond, and many more.

WIN YOUR HOME IN DUBAI - LIVE DRAW EVENT: 5 July

Meanwhile, the fourth draw of Win Your Home in Dubai will take place on 5 July at Dubai Festival City Mall from 5 PM onwards, where the fourth winner of a Binghatti studio apartment will be drawn. 

Win Your Home in Dubai, a jointly led initiative by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), part of Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), and Dubai Chambers, has already awarded two studio apartments to lucky shoppers. The first winner was Aysha Ameer, a 27-year-old Indian expat living in Dubai, followed by Shynggyskhan Rysbek, a tourist from Kazakhstan who entered the raffle during his visit to Dubai.

The initiative runs until 30 August, giving shoppers who spend AED 500 or more the chance to enter the raffle and win one of 11 Binghatti studio apartments, along with a two-bedroom Binghatti apartment as the grand prize.

FREE LIVE PERFORMANCES ACROSS MALLS

Dubai Hills Mall will welcome prominent Emirati artist Saif Al Ali on 3 July, with the popular star showcasing his musical prowess across various genres and languages, bridging Eastern and Emirati traditions. The programme will open with Amanda Maalouf, a Lebanese singer known for her powerful vocals and emotionally driven performances, who recently delivered a standout orchestral rendition at the Dubai World Cup 2026 closing ceremony.

On 4 July, the show will open with Donía, a Palestinian-Canadian pop and R&B artist known for her genre-blending originals, followed by Emirati soul singer Arqam Al Abri, who is redefining the region's music landscape with a blend of old-school and contemporary neo-soul.

City Centre Mirdif will also be a vibrant hub of live entertainment. On 3 July, DJ Akmaral, the internationally acclaimed DJ known for her high-energy electronic sets, will open the stage before Iraqi pop star Rahma Riad takes the stage with her powerful vocals and chart-topping hits, including a blend of modern Arabic pop that has made her one of the region's most popular contemporary voices.

On 4 July, DJ MOWGLI will open the evening with a dynamic set ahead of Syrian singer and Star Academy winner Nassif Zeytoun, one of the region's most celebrated contemporary Arabic artists, known for his distinctive voice and a string of hit songs that have earned him a strong fan following across the Arab world.

LIVE SHOWS AND CONCERTS

  • The Dubai Opera will host two days of The Kuwaiti Musical Show 'Muntazah Al Khairan', an entertaining, light-hearted Kuwaiti Musical Family Show, from 3 to 4 July. The play follows a group of different characters who come together hoping for a relaxing holiday and a memorable time together. Tickets are now available from AED 194 and can be purchased on Platinumlist.
     
  • On 3 July, experience an evening of soulful Khaleeji music as Bahraini singer Mohamed Al Bakri brings his show, Samratna, to New Covent Garden Theatre at Mall of the Emirates. Ticket prices start from AED 100 on Platinumlist.
     
  • The JAFZA One Convention Centre plays host to Spacetoon Memories on 4 July as Assem Sukkar returns to Dubai for a special concert, celebrating the iconic songs that defined childhoods across the Arab world. Tickets are available between AED 125 and AED 300 on Platinumlist.
     
  • On 5 July, catch Pakistani music legend Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who launches his Once Upon a Time World Tour 2026 from Dubai. This special show promises to be unlike any other, with the singer joined on stage by his son Shah Zaman Ali Khan. Tickets can be purchased on the Coca-Cola Arena website, starting from AED 100.

12K WALK TO UNLOCK

Lace up your shoes and head to Ibn Battuta Mall on 5 July as the popular mall transforms into an exciting indoor running track for an energising early morning experience for the second race of its Indoor Run Series.
