Buraidah, June 18, 2026, SPA -- Qassim University achieved a global ranking of 781-790 in the QS World University Rankings 2027, advancing from the 801-850 band recorded last year. The achievement reflects the quality of the university's academic and research outcomes and its continued efforts to enhance institutional performance and strengthen its competitiveness at both the national and international levels.

The advancement follows a series of accomplishments by the university this year. Qassim University earned the highest 'QS 5 Stars Plus' rating from QS Quacquarelli Symonds for excellence across academic, research, and institutional performance indicators, becoming the first Saudi university to receive this distinction. In addition, six academic disciplines at the university were included in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for the first time, marking an academic milestone that underscores the university's commitment to developing its academic and research programs and strengthening its position among leading universities worldwide.

The QS rankings are based on several evaluation criteria, including academic reputation, scientific publications, research citations, international research partnerships, graduate outcomes, and employability.
