Riyadh, January 15, 2026, SPA -- The Riyadh Municipality launched a unified digital platform to streamline the approval of urban plans across all relevant authorities. The initiative aims to simplify the process for beneficiaries and complete all approval procedures electronically while enhancing transparency and ensuring integration with various government agencies. The platform enables beneficiaries in the real estate development sector to submit approval requests online and track their progress from submission through review and final authorization. This ensures clear, well-governed procedures, shortens the approval process for urban plans, and accelerates the provision of developed residential land. The platform also creates an enabling environment for the real-estate development sector, facilitating competent authorities’ verification that infrastructure requirements are met at all stages of approval. Platform users will have access to guidelines and requirements necessary for the design and development of urban plans, along with the ability to submit applications for the approval of master and detailed plans electronically, track their status, and upload and preview documents and urban plans online.
The platform also documents the review and approval workflow across relevant committees and authorities, improving the user experience and enhancing the quality of urban planning outputs.
