Riyadh, July 08, 2026, SPA -- The General Authority for Awqaf participates as part of Saudi Arabia's official delegation in the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development 2026 (HLPF), organized by the United Nations in New York from July 7 to 15.

The participation reflects the Kingdom's active international engagement in sustainable development platforms and its efforts to showcase national models that support achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The authority's participation reflects Saudi Arabia's continued efforts to strengthen international partnerships and exchange development expertise by showcasing the Kingdom's endowment model as a national contributor to sustainable development.

It also seeks to reinforce the role of the endowment sector within the national framework for achieving the SDGs, highlighting the growing contribution of endowments to economic, social, and development fields, and underscoring their role as a key enabler of sustainable development.

The participation will include highlighting endowments' contributions for the first time in Saudi Arabia's Voluntary National Review (VNR) for 2026. It will also host a roundtable at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) headquarters to showcase the Kingdom's endowment model and highlight the role of endowments in financing development and contributing to the achievement of the SDGs.

The roundtable will feature the Endowment Excellence Index, a Saudi model for measuring the performance of endowment institutions, and explore opportunities for its application at the international level.

Moreover, the authority's participation will include a series of bilateral meetings with UN programs and relevant endowment and international organizations to explore opportunities for cooperation, exchange expertise, and strengthen partnerships that support the development of the endowment sector.

These efforts aim to reinforce Saudi Arabia's presence in sustainable development platforms and showcase the Kingdom's endowment model as a sustainable development model with both local and global impact.

The authority works to strengthen, regulate, and preserve the endowment sector, while advancing its development and raising public awareness through the launch of innovative endowment products and services for beneficiaries.

It aims to position the sector as a leader in sustainable development at both the national and international levels by fulfilling donors' stipulations, adopting best practices, and developing the laws and regulations needed to enhance and empower the endowment sector and maximize its contribution to economic and social development and social solidarity.
