Giulia Dal Pozzo and Nuria Rodriguez are enjoying another dream week following their breakthrough in Rome. In Valladolid, the Italian and the Spaniard have once again reached the semi-finals: after defeating Claudia Fernandez and Sofia Araujo in the round of 16, they produced another outstanding performance to overcome Ale Salazar and Ale Alonso. Their 6-1 6-1 victory in one hour and six minutes sends them into the semi-finals against Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez, who defeated Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen by the same 6-4 6-4 scoreline. While the bottom-half semi-final of the women's draw will begin not before 10:30 CEST, play will start at 9:00 with the match between Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay and Ari Sanchez and Andrea Ustero, who also met in the final of the Rome Major and the semi-finals of the Valencia P1. The No. 1 seeds came from behind to beat Martina Fassio and Raquel Eugenio 3-6 6-3 6-2, while the No. 3 seeds defeated Marina Guinart and Veronica Virseda 7-6 6-1.

 

MEN In the afternoon, not before 18:00, the men's semi-finals will take place. The first, in the top half of the draw, will feature Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia against Juan Lebron and Leo Augsburger. The world No. 1 pair defeated Jairo Bautista and Iñigo Jofre 6-1 6-4, while the No. 3 seeds advanced following the retirement of Momo Gonzalez and Lucas Campagnolo. The surprise came in the bottom half, where Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal (7) eliminated Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas 7-6 6-4, matching the Valladolid P2 semi-final they also reached in 2025. Tomorrow they will face Fede Chingotto and Ale Galan, who advanced to the semi-finals thanks to a 6-1 6-4 victory over Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno.
