Riyadh, May 05, 2026, SPA -- Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) Dr. Saad Al-Kasabi received today a delegation from the Syrian Arab Organization for Standardization and Metrology (SASMO) headed by its Director General Yaser Alaiwi, to discuss enhancing technical cooperation and developing integration pathways between the two sides in the fields of standards, quality, and conformity assessment.

During the meeting, a number of joint initiatives were discussed, most notably the exchange of experiences, expertise, and legislation in national quality infrastructure, alignment of priority standards, examination of mutual recognition mechanisms, certificates, and quality marks, and the formation of joint working teams to exchange expertise and implement specialized technical programs, contributing to reducing technical barriers and facilitating trade exchange between the two sides.
