Integrated Health Ecosystem at the Prophet's Mosque Enhances Emergency Response with Participation of 17 Health Entities

Madinah, March 18, 2026, SPA -- The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) continues to carry out emergency medical duties within the Prophet’s Mosque and the surrounding central area as part of an integrated health ecosystem that aims to enhance emergency response efficiency and provide advanced ambulance services to pilgrims and visitors.

SRCA plays a key role through ambulance teams that respond on-site to emergency cases and provide primary care within the Prophet’s Mosque. This is done in coordination with participating health entities, reflecting a high level of integration across health sectors.

SRCA operates within a joint system that includes 17 health entities from the government, private, and non-profit sectors. It also coordinates continuously with hospitals and health centers in the central area to enhance service readiness, accelerate case transfers, and ensure timely care.

Ambulance teams are deployed across the Prophet’s Mosque, its courtyards, and surrounding areas through foot patrols, positioning points, and ambulance centers. They are supported by modern, lightweight equipment that enables rapid response in crowded areas.

This integrated system reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to providing high-quality emergency medical services, ensuring rapid response and efficient management of emergency cases within the Prophet’s Mosque.
