Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University President, Japan's Ambassador Discuss Academic, Research Cooperation

Riyadh, July 01, 2026, SPA -- President of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) Ahmed Alaameri met on Wednesday with Japan's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Yasunari Morino and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues, most notably enhancing cooperation in academic and research fields, supporting scientific and cultural exchange programs, and exploring opportunities for collaboration between IMSIU and Japanese universities to advance academic and scientific ties.

Alaameri affirmed the IMSIU’s commitment to expanding its international partnerships with leading universities and academic institutions to support its goals in education, scientific research, and innovation, while promoting academic and cultural exchange and building effective international partnerships.

The Japanese ambassador praised IMSIU's academic and research progress, as well as its supportive educational environment for international students.
