Dubai, UAE, May 1, 2026: In May, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will host a unique lineup of knowledge-based, interactive events. These events reflect the Library's commitment to supporting community awareness and enhancing intellectual and family well-being, as well as empowering youth and developing their leadership and communication skills. The month's agenda begins with the launch of the first event under the 'Moms, Pops & Tots' initiative, an interactive family event titled 'Connect... Explore... Learn'. This event comes in line with the Year of Family, which aims to promote family well-being, strengthen social bonds, and support early childhood development. Presented by Coach Kardan, this workshop aims to refine public speaking and presentation skills among students and professionals, contributing to fostering a culture of effective leadership in society. As part of the Financial Management series, the Library will host its third session titled 'Technology should work for you'. Presented by Dr. Alessio Faccia, the session will highlight digital tools and their role in improving work, organisation, and communication. The 'Conscious Parenting' series will also continue in May with trainer Jocelyne Chidiac through a session titled 'Childhood Without Emotional Constraints'. The session will explore ways to support children in overcoming emotional challenges caused by stress, bullying, or shyness, while offering practical techniques to enhance psychological balance for highly sensitive and responsive children. On International Day of Families, the Children's Library will host an art workshop titled 'My Family Through My Eyes', allowing children to describe their families from their own perspective through drawings and short phrases. The Library will also present the activity 'My Favorite Character From a Book', an interactive event where children choose a book character, draw it, and write a short description. This activity promotes a love of reading, connects children with books through their characters, and stimulates expression and participation skills. Coinciding with World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, the Library will host 'A Journey Around the World in Our Library', for visitors to explore diverse cultures through books that reflect the traditions and customs of different peoples. The event will feature an interactive photo corner titled 'Global Lens', documenting visitors' experiences in traditional attire. Additionally, the event will highlight the Languages Section in the General Library, promoting cultural diversity and openness while emphasising the Library's role as a comprehensive cultural and knowledge hub. The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will conclude its May program with a special event marking Emirati Writers Day, celebrating the national creative scene and honouring Emirati writers and their role in enriching Arabic literature and reinforcing cultural identity. The program will offer opportunities for dialogue, interaction, and sharing experiences between writers and the audience. This program supports the Library's vision as a comprehensive cultural platform that embraces thought and creativity, bolstering the presence of knowledge in society through events targeting various age groups and interests.
