Arar, March 25, 2026, SPA -- The first quarter phase of the Moon for Shawwal 1447 AH was observed this evening in the skies of Saudi Arabia's Northern Borders Region in a striking celestial scene that drew the attention of skywatchers and astrophotography enthusiasts.

The lunar phase is one of the moon's primary phases, during which half of its surface is illuminated. It occurs when the moon forms an approximately right angle with the Earth and the Sun, making it clearly visible in the early evening and ideal for observation with the naked eye, binoculars, or telescopes.

The phase represents a transitional stage in the moon's monthly cycle, as the illuminated portion gradually increases until it reaches the full moon.
