Ministry of Islamic Affairs Organizes Iftar Ceremony for Fasting People in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, February 26, 2026, SPA -- The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the religious attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Ethiopia, organized an iftar ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Hotel yesterday in Addis Ababa, as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ program for providing iftar meals to fasting individuals. The program benefited 300 fasting participants from various segments of society.

The ceremony was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Ethiopia Abdullah Al-Zahrani.

Participants expressed their gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts in serving Islam and Muslims. They also praised the ministry for implementing these programs, which promote solidarity, compassion, and social cohesion during the holy month of Ramadan.
