The six-day Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 powered by ADNOC came to a show-stopping finale tonight with the crowning of phygital champions across six different disciplines inside a packed-out ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.  

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, the six-day Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 took place from 18-23 December, featuring 11 disciplines and providing a perfect demonstration of how sport and technology can converge to create engrossing, elite competition.  

On the last evening of adrenaline-fueled action, the championship match of the Phygital Football powered by ADNOC provided a finale to remember with MÉXICO QUETZALES - ARMADILLOS FC taking the title in front of a raucous capacity crowd. Despite dominating Troncos FC in an eight-minute digital contest they only led 0-1 and it looked like they might rue their missed chances when the action got underway on the physical five-a-side field, conceding direct from kick-off.
