Madinah, May 12, 2026, SPA -- The General Education Department in Madinah Region launched its scout and volunteer teams to serve pilgrims during the current Hajj season, with the participation of 250 male and female scouts and more than 800 volunteers. Scout and volunteer teams have been deployed across several key locations to provide support and assistance to visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque, reflecting their sense of national responsibility and the humanitarian role of education personnel in serving visitors to the two holy mosques. The services provided by the scouts and volunteers include guiding lost pilgrims, assisting older people and individuals with disabilities, helping manage crowds and facilitate pedestrian movement in the areas surrounding the Prophet’s Mosque, Quba Mosque, Miqat Mosque, and Qiblatain Mosque, in cooperation with government agencies to ensure the provision of logistical and humanitarian services that contribute to pilgrims’ comfort and peace of mind. As part of ongoing field monitoring, Director General of Education in Madinah Region Nasser Al-Abdulkarim inspected the Scout Center and reviewed the efforts of scouts and volunteers at the Prophet’s Mosque. He also observed the implementation of operational plans and praised the dedication and high morale demonstrated by the teams in serving pilgrims.
