Najran, July 11, 2026, SPA -- Honey and its derived products have become promising economic resources in Najran, which produces various types of natural honey, including Sidr, Talh, Samar, Salam, and Qardh honey, along with value-added products such as soaps, creams, royal jelly, and propolis.

Honey prices in the region range between SAR100 and SAR400 per kilogram depending on type, quality, and presentation. The growing demand for processed products is helping diversify beekeepers’ income and increase the sector’s economic value.

Najran beekeepers have achieved gold and platinum awards in international competitions, reflecting the high quality of local honey and its global competitiveness. Supported by initiatives from the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the sector has advanced through modern beekeeping practices, improved production, and preservation of local bee strains.

These efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030 by promoting sustainable agricultural development, empowering rural beekeepers, and enhancing honey production quality and growth.
