Riyadh, August 6, 2026, SPA -- The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language (KSGAAL), in cooperation with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and in coordination with the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, has launched nine translated books featuring the State of Teaching Arabic as a Second Language global reports.
The new publications are part of KSGAAL’s efforts to support specialized scientific knowledge.

KSGAAL Secretary-General Abdullah Al-Washmi said translating the reports marks a new phase of the Status of Arabic Language Education in the World project. He said the publications will expand the global reach of the project’s findings, support knowledge-building in the field of teaching Arabic as a second language, and strengthen cooperation with international organizations in developing joint scientific initiatives.

The new publications make the reports’ outcomes accessible to a wider audience of researchers, policymakers, universities, and institutions that teach Arabic to non-native speakers. They are intended to support the development of educational policies and promote the use of specialized studies on the state of Arabic-language education as a second language in countries around the world.

The academy said the publications include five books translated into English, covering the State of Teaching Arabic as a Second Language reports on Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, and Ghana, as well as four books translated into French covering the reports on Senegal, Niger, Burkina Faso, and Mali.
