Riyadh, August 4, 2026, SPA -- The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) announced today the opening of registration for the Artificial Intelligence Professional Badges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, launched earlier this year during the International Conference on Data and AI Capacity Building (ICAN 2026).

This phase covers two specializations: "AI Engineer," which focuses on practical skills in developing AI models and systems, and “Data Scientist,” which focuses on algorithm development and analytical capabilities.

Applicants will undergo a standardized three-level assessment framework supervised by an independent scientific committee comprising researchers, academics, and experts from both the public and private sectors. The framework aims to accurately and objectively assess scientific competence, analytical abilities, and practical skills.

 Through this initiative, SDAIA aims to empower national human capital and provide various sectors with a reliable benchmark for identifying highly qualified talent.
