Digital Sharjah Platform Records 2.65 Million Transactions in H1 2026, up 102%

Sharjah, August 3, 2026: Digital Sharjah Platform recorded strong growth during the first half of 2026, reflecting continued progress in implementing the Sharjah Digital Transformation Strategy 2026-2028, which aims to advance government services, strengthen digital integration and expand the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies.

Users completed more than 2.65 million digital transactions through the platform during the period, representing a 102 per cent increase compared with the first half of 2025. The total value of transactions exceeded AED 514 million, surpassing the total value recorded for the whole of 2025.

H.E. Eng. Lamia Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Director of SDD, said: “The results recorded during the first half of 2026 demonstrate tangible progress in implementing the Sharjah Digital Transformation Strategy 2026-2028. The strategy is focused on building an interconnected government ecosystem, developing digital services centred on user needs, and harnessing data and artificial intelligence to enhance government efficiency.”

H.E. added: “These results highlight growing confidence in digital services and demonstrate the positive impact of government integration and advanced technologies in simplifying the user journey and improving service quality.”

The platform continued to expand its service offering, with the number of connected government entities increasing to 62. The number of available digital services reached 155 following the addition of 33 new services during the first half of the year.

AI-enabled services also recorded notable growth, with 19,014 users completing transactions through these services, an increase of 110 per cent compared with the same period last year.

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance the Digital Sharjah Assistant’s capabilities, its institutional knowledge base was expanded to cover more than 200 government websites. This supports greater response accuracy and enables users to access information and services more quickly.

The platform also continued to attract new users, bringing the total number of registered users to more than 546,000, while the number of active users reached approximately 290,000.

Digital Sharjah app recorded more than 249,000 downloads during the first half of 2026, representing an increase of 210 per cent compared with the same period last year. This growth reflects the increasing adoption of the platform as a primary channel for accessing and completing government services.

SDD continues to develop the platform and expand its services in support of the objectives of the Sharjah Digital Transformation Strategy 2026-2028, while enhancing access to government services and improving the efficiency of their delivery.
