Riyadh, July 21, 2026, SPA -- Riyadh Region Municipality has concluded its 'World Cup Closer to You' initiative, launched alongside the 2026 FIFA World Cup, after attracting more than 235,000 visitors in a community-focused experience that brought the tournament atmosphere into neighborhoods and witnessed strong public turnout

The initiative was held at 64 locations across Riyadh and several governorates, as well as at 50 public squares, parks, and designated match-viewing sites across the region.
The initiative transformed community spaces in neighborhoods into public match-viewing venues, drawing residents from all walks of life throughout the tournament to watch FIFA World Cup matches and enjoy the excitement and competitive atmosphere of the world's biggest sporting event.
