Makkah, May 20, 2026, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute for Hajj and Umrah Research continues its research efforts during the 1447 AH Hajj season by conducting 16 specialized research studies aimed at improving services provided to pilgrims and enhancing operational efficiency across the Hajj and Umrah system. These efforts contribute to improving the experience of pilgrims and Umrah performers in Makkah, the holy sites, and Madinah

The studies cover four main research areas: environmental and health research, information and scientific services, administrative and humanitarian research, and urban and engineering studies. This reflects an integrated scientific approach and the diversity of disciplines the institute employs to support the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation system through practical, research-based solutions.

More than 20 male and female researchers specializing in Hajj- and Umrah-related fields are participating this season, alongside 458 field data collectors. This highlights the scale of the institute's research and fieldwork efforts and its role in supporting decision-making through data, scientific analysis, and applied studies.
