Finance Ministry Requires All Government Agencies to Offer Movables via Ettimad Electronic Auction

‏Riyadh, January 05, 2026, SPA -- The Ministry of Finance announced today the start of implementing the obligation for all government agencies to offer and sell government movables through the Ettimad electronic auction service affiliated with the Ettimad platform, as part of its efforts to enhance transparency and raise the efficiency of government asset management.

According to a press release issued by the ministry today, this measure comes within the framework of the digital transformation led by the ministry in government financial services, as the Ettimad auction allows government agencies to carry out sales operations in a fully electronic manner, starting from entering data on movables and their pricing, through advertising and receiving bidders' offers, to awarding and issuing invoices electronically.

‏The ministry stressed that the obligation to offer through the platform contributes to achieving the principle of equal opportunities between individuals and the private sector, and enables everyone to view and participate in government auctions with ease and clarity, which enhances fair competition and ensures optimal benefit from public assets.

‏Ettimad Auction is one of the main services on the Ettimad platform, and aims to facilitate the procedures for selling government movables and increase the efficiency of their disposal, inline with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing public financial management and enhancing transparency in government transactions.
