Jeddah, October 17, 2025, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia marked the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, observed on October 17, by highlighting its unwavering commitment to providing support and assistance to the least developed countries, setting an example in the field of relief and humanitarian work.

The nation's relief, humanitarian, and development efforts to support and assist countries facing emergency situations due to natural disasters and humanitarian crises have made it a leading donor country worldwide and one of the largest supporters of international humanitarian organizations.

The Kingdom affirms its commitment to all efforts to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable groups and reduce poverty. Through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), the Kingdom provides aid and projects to numerous countries affected by crises that have led to increased poverty rates.

KSrelief's aid covers a variety of vital relief areas that have contributed to alleviating poverty, including food and agricultural security, early recovery, water and environmental sanitation, health, education, and shelter, making a significant difference in the lives of millions around the world.
