SHARJAH, February 9, 2015:  Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF ZONE) participated in the ProSweets Cologne,  the international supplier fair for the confectionery industry which held in Cologne, Germany recently.

Over 1,500 vendors from 65 countries displayed  their wares at the event.

“ We  participated  in this global event, a well-stocked showcase of the international  sweets and snack industry as we perceived it to be a good platform for the

SAIF ZONE team to interact with investors and entrepreneurs of this particular industry from Germany and beyond”,  said Saud Al Mazrouei, Director of Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) and Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA).

“In addition to that, we met prominent traders and market leaders  of  well-known brands, as well as small and medium size companies from different countries ”, he added.

“As the event offered practical lectures, special shows and workshops of more than 300 exhibitors, our team benefited  gained  some expertise  on the confectionary industry.  SAIF Zone has some well-known food product companies and we are looking for more international companies to expand their presence to our zone, as part of our expansion plans for 2015”, he concluded.
