Kuwait, 25 October 2026: Kuwait International Bank (KIB) concluded its participation in the fifth edition of Watheefti, which took place from October 15th to 17th at The Arena – 360 Mall. The Bank’s participation highlighted its unwavering dedication to supporting young Kuwaiti professionals and graduates in pursuing meaningful career paths in the banking sector. This year, KIB also introduced the new KIB Initiative, which brought outstanding senior-year students from Canadian Bilingual School to the fair, alongside an interactive AI-powered experience aimed at helping visitors explore career opportunities that match their skills and aspirations.
Commenting on KIB’s continued involvement in the fair, Hadi Ibrahim Hadi, Acting General Manager of Human Resources at KIB, said: “Our participation in Kuwait’s largest and most prominent employment fair for the fourth consecutive year reflects our firm belief that Kuwait’s youth are the cornerstone of the country’s future development and our ongoing commitment to nurturing their talents and preparing them for the job market. At KIB, we continuously seek opportunities to connect with ambitious young professionals, introduce them to the diverse career paths available in the banking sector, and equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. We are proud to once again be part of this important national initiative, which brings together leading employers and the next generation of Kuwaiti talent.”
During the three-day event, KIB’s Human Resources team welcomed job seekers, introduced them to the Bank’s available positions, and shared insights about its dynamic work culture and professional development opportunities at KIB’s booth. The team also highlighted the importance of responsible financial practices, in line with the nationwide “Let’s Be Aware” (Diraya) campaign, launched by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) and Kuwait Banking Association (KBA) in collaboration with local banks.
Visitors also had the opportunity to take part in an AI-powered career profiling experience. Using an interactive console with illuminated buttons, participants answered a series of short questions about their skills, interests, and work preferences. Within one to two minutes, the experience generated a personalized career profile, suggesting relevant career directions and matching participants with available opportunities at the Bank.
Reflecting on the interactive experience, Hadi explained: “KIB remains committed to adopting innovative approaches that bring young talents closer to suitable career opportunities. Our interactive AI-powered experience at the fair offered visitors a new way to explore their professional interests and identify potential career paths. By combining technology with our team’s expertise, we sought to make the recruitment experience more engaging and informative, while helping candidates discover opportunities that align with their abilities and ambitions.”
As part of the KIB Initiative, the Bank’s team was joined by outstanding senior-year students from Canadian Bilingual School, who volunteered to welcome visitors, interact with candidates, and assist the recruitment team in presenting available career opportunities at KIB.
Ahead of the fair, the Bank had conducted a career awareness session at the school, introducing students to KIB, the private sector, and Watheefti. The session also covered the academic majors currently in demand, the skills each field requires and how to build them, and the career paths and roles these majors lead to. Designed to give students a real first look at the world of work before they choose their university majors, the initiative offered them first-hand experience of a professional working environment and insight into the expectations and requirements of today’s labor market.
Bringing together leading organizations from across Kuwait’s private sector, Watheefti 2026 provided a valuable platform for job seekers and graduates to explore employment opportunities, connect with potential employers, and gain a better understanding of the skills and qualifications required in different industries.
KIB continues to underscore its role as a notable Islamic financial institution that not only contributes to Kuwait’s economic development but also prioritizes the growth and empowerment of national talent. Through its ongoing participation in Watheefti and similar initiatives, the Bank reaffirms its steadfast commitment to supporting future generations and living up to its main slogan, “Bank for Life.”
