Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced its service hours for the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Birthday Holiday, corresponding to Friday, 28th August 2026.

The announcement covers Customer Happiness Centres, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro and Tram, marine transport services, and service provider centres for vehicle technical testing.

Customer Happiness Centres

All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will be closed during Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Birthday holiday. However, Umm Ramool Customer Happiness Centre, as well as the smart customer service centres in Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf, and RTA Head Office, will operate as usual 24/7.

Service Provider Centres (Vehicle Technical Testing)

Service provider centres will be closed during the holiday, with regular working hours resuming on Saturday, 29th August 2026.

Note: The following centres will continue to provide services during the Holiday:

  • Al Mutakamela Al Quoz
  • Al Mutakamela Al Qusais
  • Aber
  • Wasel Al Jaddaf

Morning hours: 7:00 am – 12:00 noon
Evening hours: 3:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Services available: Vehicle technical testing and vehicle registration.

Dubai Metro (Red and Green Lines)

Friday, 28th August:

5:00 am – 1:00 am the following day

Dubai Tram

Friday, 28th August:

6:00 am – 1:00 am the following day

Public Buses (Dubai Bus)

For information about changes to public bus schedules during the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Birthday holiday, please check S’hail app.

Note: Bus route E100 will not operate from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station from 27th to 30th August 2026.

Riders are advised to use bus route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi during this period.

Public Parking

All public parking spaces will be free of charge during the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Birthday Holiday, corresponding to Friday, 28th August 2026, except for multi-storey parking facilities.

Parking fees will resume on Saturday, 29th August 2026.
