The technology also enables the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to identify patterns, detect anomalies and anticipate potential network requirements. The deployment forms part of Ooredoo Kuwait’s broader technology strategy, which focuses on strengthening its digital infrastructure and making greater use of the growing volume of network data to provide operational teams with deeper visibility into network performance and support timely decision-making.

As 5G Standalone (5G SA) networks continue to expand and digital services become increasingly data-intensive, the ability to monitor and analyse network performance in real time has become critical to maintaining service quality and stability.

Against this backdrop, NWDAF provides an advanced analytics layer within the 5G network architecture, enabling network data to be transformed into insights that can support performance optimisation, resource management and early identification of potential issues before they affect service quality.

The deployment represents a shift in the way networks can be managed; from a model that primarily responds to issues after they occur to a more predictive and proactive approach, supported by advanced analytics, AI and machine learning (ML).
